What You Will Learn
This 5-session webinar series is designed as an introduction to lean accounting for executives, financial and operations management within lean companies or companies about to begin the lean journey.

Each session has specific learning objectives:
  1. What is Lean Accounting? – learn the reasons why a lean accounting system is necessary for every lean company and learn what happens if traditional cost management systems continue to be used in lean companies;
  2. Value Stream Identification – learn how to identify the value streams in your company and how to organize your company around its value streams;
  3. Lean Performance Measurements - learn how to calculate the "BMA Starter Set" of strategic, value stream & cell measurements which will be used to integrate your lean strategy with organizational actions, control processes to achieve desired results and measure the impact of continuous improvement;
  4. Value Stream Income Statement - learn how to identify the actual, direct costs of your value streams and how to produce a value stream income statement on a weekly basis;
  5. Value Stream Capacity - learn how to calculate value stream capacity by identifying the productive and non-productive activities in your value streams.
At the conclusion of this series, your “take away” activity will be to build your own model value stream box score – the foundation of the lean accounting management system. You will use this box score to:
  • Demonstrate how the lean accounting box score will work in your business
  • Present the benefits of lean accounting to your management team
  • Get approval for implementing lean accounting in 6 months
